Boatlift Light, from Coast Innovation, a patented new innovation.
Boatlift Light is constructed to service small crafts, and light boats up to a maximum weight of
1000 kg (2200 lb)
The prototype is being developed in co-operation with Østerbø Maskin in Sogn, and will be ready for retailing by spring 2004. The Light version is a lighter and further development of the Boatlift Prof, now in use at a full-scale testing program at a fish farm in Florø, off the West coast of Norway.
Boatlift Light will make it possible to keep your boat and your own marina/landing where you want it on your shoreline, as long as you can bring your boat in to shore.
The Boatlift is designed for installation at shorelines normally considered too exposed, steep or muddy for mooring boats. The Boatlift is especially suited for steep or vertical shorelines. Access to hydroelectric power is an advantage, but the boatlift can be installed with it’s own power supply.
By installing a Boatlift Light you can lift your boat out of the water when not in use, always ready for use next time you would like to go. In this way you can keep your boat safe and secure while away, and still be ready for the water anytime you like.
The Boatlift gives many great advantages:
• A quick access to the boat at any time; be on the water in seconds.
• No moorings or stiff knots to untie, no underwater anchors that can give away in a storm, no quay or floating dock to look after.
• Underwater coating is NOT necessary; the boat will stay clean and unfouled throughout the year.
• Maintenance and care for propeller and all underwater gear on the boat is easy. Changing gear-oil is an easy task.
• Less vulnerable/exposed to theft of boat or motor.
• Your boat is always safe from freezing in and can be used everyday the water is open!
• For your cabin near the waters edge, the Boatlift can be placed close to your cabin, even in places where there is no good landing for boats.
• The boatlift can handle as much as 3 m (12’) of tide. If your tide-change is greater than 3 m, you will have to plan your arrival and departure to the lift according to the tides
